Denis is a passionate painter who took up the brush when he retired in 1994. He had always wanted to paint and since 2001 he has managed the Bannockburn Arts Group which he loves because it gives him a great social outlet and also allows him to indulge in his very favourite thing - painting!
Kate has been a student of art for many years. She likes to experiment with different mediums and styles, but comes back to acrylic painting. Over the years she has completed commissions, ranging from abstracts to family pet portraits. She won a University of Ballarat Acquisition Prize in 2001.
Yvonne Lehey, under the prefix cavall'art, is a French painter and sculptor. Her preferred subjects are animals, and especially horses and dogs. She paints in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, sanguine and she also creates sculptures, working with wax models that are then moulded in bronze. Yvonne take commissions on request.
Linda is retired from teaching (maths, electronics, physics) and she potters around a lot in her garden. She's always spent some indoors time doing something a bit wacky and creative. Her main community focus is Landcare these days, but she used to do lots of sport and still cycles for fitness.
Rosalind is an artist who expresses ideas through a wide range of mediums and techniques. A love and deep engagement in process and making underpin the creation of sculptures that speak of the beginning of human ritual and belief.
