About Me

Nathan Krivan is a sculptor who works in limestone, sandstone, clay, bronze, and concrete. He is currently completing his VCE studies at Covenant College, where he attained a perfect study score of 50 in Studio Arts.
I enjoy sculpture for a number of reasons. Not only does it allow me to create multi-dimensional objects, but it also allows for a wide range of materials to be utilised. I particularly enjoy working with clay and stone, as these raw and natural materials have the ability to be transformed into something very refined and polished, simply through a journey of ever-expanding discovery. It is this process from core material to final artwork- and the plethora of stages within this- that i relish in the most.

I have always loved wool and started to spin when my girls were small, I progressed to weaving and felting after joining the Geelong Handweavers and Spinners Guild.
I have been fortunate in having the opportunity to exhibit samples of my work at local exhibitions, Geelong and Bendigo Shows and to have been a section winner at the Scarf Festival at the Geelong Wool Museum.

Over the last eight or so years I have been enjoying my card making for family and friends. The craft is enjoyable, soothing, satisfying and a wonderful way to socialise and meet new people. It is a craft that can be done at home as well as being easily transportable to other crafting venues around Victoria and even aboard a crafting cruise!
