Louise Numina is an Indigenous Artist from Utopia in Central Australia. She lives in Darwin but will be at Raintree Art for the Arts Trail. Her work is highly sought after and she has sold paintings all around the world. She is the niece of Gloria Petyarre, one of Australia's most respected artists.
The medium I like to explore is silkscreen. I enjoy the tactile texture of silkscreen and unpredictable marks which are created during the printmaking process. The textured and often layered silkscreened monoprints on fabriano or canvas printed in various colours are created in a manner that allows for transparency and layering.
