Ilana Payes is an Australian visual artist. Payes received both the Bachelor of Fine Arts and the Master of Visual Arts from Monash University, Melbourne, and for over a decade has exhibited in art spaces throughout Australia and abroad, including The Jewish Museum of Australia, The Gold Coast City Art Gallery, Platform Contemporary Art Space, and No Vacancy Gallery, Melbourne.
I started painting three months ago with acrylics. I loved it straight away and have been painting mostly portraits and have moved into still lifes.
I have moved into using oils as well.
Born 1988, I grew up in Amphitheatre, central Vic, on a farm. This influences all my work. I completed an honours degree in fine art at University of Ballarat (Fed Uni) in 2010.
Harley Manifold was born in Camperdown, Victoria in 1982. In 2003, he completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Deakin University in Warrnambool. He then went on to complete his Honours in Fine Arts at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne (he was the only student in his year who had not studied at VCE prior to the Honours course).
